Max Zaska is an Irish guitarist, songwriter, musical director, and producer best known for his band ZASKA's feel-good blend of neo-soul & jazz and high-energy live shows. See what happened the last time ZASKA played London

Line-up:

MAX ZASKA - guitar
JESS KAV - vocals
OLLY MERIDITH - bass
TOM POTTER - drums
INNES YELLOWLEES - piano

ZASKA returns to Ronnie Scott’s with powerhouse soul vocalist Jess Kav (Hozier, The Waterboys) and London band Olly Meridith (bass), Tom Potter (drums), and Innes Yellowlees (piano).

Built on collaboration, ZASKA works with incredible vocalists that began with Hozier, and a vibrant community of top session players from jazz to pop and hip-hop.

ZASKA’s latest studio album, A Better Way, draws inspiration from the current UK jazz scene (Tom Misch, Jordan Rakei), mixed with soul, R&B, and hip-hop elements that highlight infectious rhythms textured with horns and strings. A Better Way was released on the UK artist-run label, edbl recordings. Singles Gone In A Minute and Just For One Day received substantial Apple Music playlist support, while album tracks were included in British Airways Next Big Thing in-flight entertainment.

The critically acclaimed 2019 debut album, It Takes A Village, is a concept album that tells the story of Max Zaska becoming a father. It features over 25 Irish musicians and vocalists and was named Album of the Year by RTÉ 2XM's Peter Curtin.

ZASKA’s upcoming release, Live In Cork, features collaborations with Irish artists Gemma Dunleavy (indie pop), shiv (lo-fi/R&B), Melina Malone (R&B/soul), and (hip-hop/spoken-word) Jarjarjr. The first single is due out in November.
